This is a tutorial on how to download the latest development version of LuminousForts using a tool called SVN. With SVN, you can have the exact same version of LuminousForts that the developers of the mod have.
Install Latest Development VersionEdit
The first thing you need is download a SVN client, we recommend TortoiseSVN but there are several other good SVN clients. Download TortoiseSVN here! Please make sure you get the right version of the installer. There is a 32 bit and 64 bit version. If you install the wrong version, TortoiseSVN will not work.
Once TortoiseSVN is installed, reboot your whole system (Windows Vista or Windows 7 usually does not require a reboot).
After the reboot go in your Sourcemod folder. Usually it is one of these folders:
- For users of 32bit Windows: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\sourcemods
- For users of 64bit Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\sourcemods
Create a folder called 'luminousforts_dev'. Right-click inside the folder, then “SVN Checkout...” In the URL of repository text-box, enter https://subversion.assembla.com/svn/luminousforts/  then click OK. You should get a Log window, wait untill it says it’s done. When it has finished, restart Steam and LuminousForts should appear in your game library as “LuminousForts SVN”.
Updating Developer VersionEdit
Updating will give you the latest developer version of the Luminous Forts modification.
Right-click on your luminousforts folder, then click “SVN update...”.  The Log window should appear, wait untill it says it has finished downloading the new files.
Tip: You do not need to reboot Steam after an update.
Running the GameEdit
Restart Steam if you haven't already done so.
Afterwards add: "-allowdebug -sw -dev" (without the quotes) to the launch options . This can be found by right clicking LuminousForts in the steam games list. Then clicking Properties->Advanced Launch Options.
Run the game! Click ignore all when assertion messages pop up (those are for programmers only).
